At the Alaskan Port of Valdez during a late night on March 23, 1989, a large oil tanker measuring 1000 feet long was being pumped with over forty million gallons of oil. It was getting ready for its five and a half day journey to Long Beach, California. Captain Joseph Hazelwood was not prepared for what awaited him!
