African American
Living Museum Project

During the month of February we learned about important African Americans.  Mueller first grade classes presented a living history museum to the parents and community.  Each student portrayed a famous African American from the past or present.  There were doctors, lawyers, teachers, athletes, singers and performers to name a few.

Students drew a self portrait of their famous person and told a little bit about why they were famous.  Take a peek at a few of these.  Also, be sure to visit the classroom photo gallery to see an up close shot of each of these famous people!

The students worked really hard to prepare for our museum so we celebrated with a pj party the next day. You'll see from the photos what a fun day we had together.
