WELCOME TO THE MUELLER SCHOOL LIBRARY

We're so glad that you are visiting our library web page.  Libraries are great places to learn about new ideas, explore new areas, and enjoy great books!  To learn more about our library program, click here

Please visit our Mueller library programs and activities below:

Accelerated Reading Program -- “Shoot for the Stars with AR!”  Reading is very important at Mueller.  Students are encouraged to read and then take a computerized AR reading test when finished.

Book Fairs -- Each year we have two book fairs to encourage reading and raise money for our school library!

The Giving Tree  -- Mueller parents help support our reading programs by sponsoring a yearly book donation with proceeds going to buy new books!

Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) -- The three RIF distributions focus on school themes, such as Favorite Book Characters, Kansas Day, Hat Day, and Famous Authors.  We have lots of fun and also get a free book to take home and read.

Book Character Parade -- Each year Mueller has a Favorite Book Character Day instead of a scary Halloween event.   Students dress up as their favorite book character. It's a great day to be The Cat in the Hat, Cinderella, or even Johnny Appleseed.

Student News Network – Each week Mueller students produce an in-house television news show.  We call our production,  Mueller Tec News.   Regular features include news, weather, sports, menus, the Pledge to the Flag, and birthdays.  Some special features include interviews, entertainment news, kids’ consumer reports, highlights, book talks, and more.

Reading Connections -- We know there are many good children's authors to recommend.  Check some of these out if you are looking for a good book.
