PLAYGROUND EXPECTATIONS

How To Use Playground Equipment

SLIDES:
1. Use ladder and both hands going up the slide.
2. One person at a time may go down feet first in a sitting position.
3. Do not slide until the person in front of you has cleared the area.
4. Keep sand and other objects off the slide at all times.
5. Climb ladder one at a time, wait at the bottom until the person in from of you has started going down the slide.

BARS:
1. Use both hands when climbing, with the lock grip.
2. One person crosses at a time and everyone goes in the same direction.
3. Dangerous play such as chicken fighting and kicking is not allowed.
4. Do not sit or walk on top of the ladder bars.
5. Watch carefully when Jumping off bars, make sure area is clear.

SWINGS:
1. Only one person in a swing.
2. Sit on your bottom in the swing at all times.
3. Swing in a forward and backward motion. (No sideways or twisting allowed)
4. No jumping or running out of the swings.
5. No pushing or running through swings when in motion.

 

TEETER-TOTTERS:
1. Only one person at a time on each side
2. No bouncing off the ground.
3. Both sides stop at the same time.
4. Hold the teeter-totter for each other when getting on and off.

ZIP-SLIDE:
1. Make lines at both ends of slide:
2. Must be-able to jump up and hold bars, by yourself.
3. One person may be allowed to push part of the way, from behind only.
4. Release and drop feet first when you reach the end and go directly to the end of the line.
