501 Ways
to Boost Your Child's
Self
Esteem
By: Robert D. Ramsey
Mia Padgett, Mueller Elementary's Social Worker, has chosen several of the 501 ways to Boost Your Child's Self Esteem. Please take the time to read and follow these simple rules to ensure a happy and healthy child.
Hug
your child every day.
Do
more bragging than nagging.
Be
more optimistic. It's catching.
Teach
your child that there's more than one kind of family.
Save
the best twinkle in your eye for your child.
Never
be embarrassed to say, "I Love You."
Don't
draw a line in the sand during a sandstorm. You shouldn't pick the worst
possible time to take a stand.
Catch
your child being good.
Don't
expect consistency, logic, unselfishness or other miracles from your child.
Really
listen to your child. Don't interrupt or finish his sentences.
