Accelerated
Reader or A.R. is a popular reading software program used at Mueller School.
A.R.
helps motivate students to read good books.
A.R.
helps students focus on reading at their reading level.
It
provides reliable, objective feedback to the student and teacher.
It
provides data on each student's reading practice.
The
Accelerated Reader program uses this easy-to-use process:
1.
The student reads a book or a book is read to him or her.
2.
The student
takes a Quiz that is included in the A.R. program. (Mueller
School has nearly 2000 quizzes to help motivate reading practice.)
3.
The student and teacher both get feedback. (The student gets immediate feedback
from score and the teacher is able to look at the student's A.R. record and
direct reading practice.)
An
Important Helpful Hint:
A.R. is most effective when a student read books on his or her reading
level.
