Mueller's
all-day kindergarten classes continue
to offer a full day of learning that our 1/2 day pre-kindergarten
started. Today's kindergarten students are ready to learn through
developmentally appropriate practices at their best learning levels.
Mueller's kindergarten students receive all of the regular subject
areas through integrated thematic teaching units.
Kindergarten time is devoted daily to individual choices through
various activity centers designed to
supplement teacher directed daily lessons in self-contained classes. Students
have the opportunities to rotate through activity centers including: math,
writing, reading, computer, listening, science, play, and special activities.
Kindergartners also receive Computer Lab, Library, Science,
and Art once a week from our support teachers
in addition to the regularly scheduled Music
and P.E. classes.
Kindergarten teachers work together to design monthly projects
and field trips for students
to enjoy. Kindergarten students enjoy hands-on activities, field
trips, and social activities to encourage learning and cooperating
together. Many parents are willing to volunteer to provide our
kindergarten teachers an extra pair of hands for copying, tutoring,
and class projects.
