Mueller Meisterringers Handchime Ensemble: This choir is a select group of 4th and 5th grade students who rehearse 3 times each week during the lunch recess period. The choir performs throughout the Wichita community at various venues.
Our newest innovation is our Yamaha Clavinova Digital Keyboard Lab: This lab consists of 14 full-size digital pianos that are connected to the teacher’s Clavinova CVP 92 piano. Two students sit at a piano and have headphones in which to hear teacher instruction and themselves. The students learn to play simple piano pieces with accompaniments from a disk that is played from the teacher’s console. Recording capabilities and computer interaction are also possible with these keyboards.
Students present their own musicals each year: These programs are fully staged, costumed and choreographed productions by the children and music teachers. A professionally produced video tape of each performance is available for purchase (proceeds go to music department for future productions).
