Our
students have two media production rooms available for producing
video tape segments for the morning news each Friday. The upstairs
media production room allows students to use the video camera
to pretape the Pledge of Allegiance, Breakfast and Lunch Menus,
Weekly Birthdays, Special Announcements, Interviews, and School
News that will be broadcast during the live Friday morning TV
broadcast. The library media production room is where the actual
live Friday morning broadcast takes place with students in charge
of anchor, sound, cue cards, camera, and production positions.
When everything is put together, the pretaped portions are mixed
with the live broadcast to make a smooth production for students
to watch in their classrooms.
Stop by sometime to watch our Friday morning news program starting at 9:05 a.m. Our next project is to put our news program onto the internet live each Friday morning so parents and visitors can tune in to find out what is happening at Mueller each week--we'll let you know when we've got it going!

streaming media technology! |
Streaming media is a way to push large files to the viewer on demand which means you can begin to view them as they come to your computer instead of waiting for the entire file to download. Streaming media is more of a continuous connection. Much like TV or listening to the radio, you receive the images or audio just before you see or hear them. Streaming Voices is encoding our large media files to be viewed using RealPlayer. This is an additional program that works with your web browser that you can download for free.
